On December 18th, 2013 our school hosted students from L' ubotin during Christmas Eve meeting. Director Andrzej Gancarz warmly welcomed representatives from Primary School in L' ubotin.
Class 4a presented Christmas play and Polish carols prepared by Małgorzata Beczkowicz and Monika Faron. Slovak students from their part also presented beautiful Christmas carols and plays as a gratitude. After both groups’ performances students took part in art workshops ,during which they made Christmas cards, angels in birch trees, Christmas trees from styrofoam and they also baked cookies. After the workshop, everyone sat down at the Christmas Eve table to taste special Polish food - mushroom soup, fish, dumplings, stewed fruit and cakes. All participants were able to find some gifts under the big Christmas tree – the following Christmas tradition. After a common feast everyone sang Christmas carols together – that has turned to become a Christmas Eve tradition of Polish -Slovak meetings. Nice moments spent at the Christmas table has strengthen the friendship of our schools.
