Planned activities – events to be organised in the project

 

1. Supervising the project – a supervising team will be created to realise the tasks of the project. It will contain the project coordinator and a person responsible for financial issues. The duties of the project coordinator will be: project management, financial supervision, supervising the proper execution of tasks, workflow documentation and archiving, supervision of the promotion, monitoring and evaluation of the project, the employment of the staff. Financial clerk will be responsible for: current settlement of expenses, project accounting, preparation of applications for payment, and periodic reporting about the project.

2. Promoting the project – during a parent-teacher meeting the coordinator of the project will give information about the aims of the project and the rules of enrolment. Leaflets and posters will be delivered as the visual advertisement of the project. A website will be created (in Polish, Slovak and English) and administered by School No 1 in Muszyna that will be informing about the realization of implementing the project. Both schools administrators will have an access to this website as well as the students, who can share their experiences on forum. The project will include following programs:

3. Polish-Slovak language course for teachers (15 hours) – it will be a 3 day trip of Polish teachers (20 people) and Slovak teachers (20 people) to Liptovski Mikulas (Slovakia) combined with tandem language course. Teachers will be accommodated in equal proportions by the national division. In the course of daily workshops in mixed groups (5h per day) they will be taught the basics of the languages and they will work on forming the Polish-Slovak dictionary of basic communication phrases. In the implementation of the classes there will be a touch screen compatible with a laptop and a projector used. Both Slovak and Polish teachers  will be able to learn the basics of the languages of the two countries.

4.  “Tatra and Pieniny join us – a tourist trip” - two-day trip for 20  Polish students of Polish and 20 Slovak students aged 7-10 in the Polish mountains. The purpose of trips is to learn common Polish and Slovak cultural values ​​resulting from living in the region of the Tatra and the Pieniny. The aim of this trip is also to reveal the charm of  Pieniny as well as the capital of the Polish mountains - Zakopane. It is  supposed to encourage to explore other beautiful places in Poland and Slovakia associated with the region, tourism and an active life .

5. Christmas Traditions on the border - it will be two meetings a year - on the occasion of Christmas and Easter. Polish children will learn about our neighbors Christmas traditions. What is more music - art workshops will be carried out - both by the Slovaks (20 students) and Poles (20 students). They will contain: Christmas decorations, Christmas cards, Polish and Slovak carols learning, painting Easter eggs, etc. Slovak teenagers will have a possibility to become familiar with the traditional polish cuisine.

6.  Muszyńsko - Lubotińskie vocal workshops - dance - classes will be conducted for 20 Polish and 20 Slovak students. They will last 40 hours – 10 times 4 hours meetings National and regional dances - the polonaise, Krakowiak, oberek and mazurek as well as many regional songs will be conducted. The final of the workshop will be the performance of participants in the original folk costumes during the Biesiada Muszyńska (in Muszyna ) as well as during the commemoration of Kulturove Leta (in L'ubotin). The aim of the workshops is to closer the traditions of Polish-dance, costumes and singing to all participants.

7.  Biesiada Muszyńska - it will be open-event with the participation of the authorities of partner cities, special guests –  deserved for Muszyna people / poets, writers, painters / and school children of Polish and Slovak (20 students) – all about 100 people. During the feast there will be a possibility to taste delicacies of Polish and Slovak cuisine. The "pearls" of Muszyna land - historical,  scenic and tourist values will be presented using a touch panel, a projector and a laptop. During the whole event the students wearing traditional costumes will present developed abilities of national dances and folk songs.

8. Children's Day at the border – an outdoor sports event for children of both partner schools. (100 people including 20 Slovaks). The program will consist of a summer biathlon - cycling and running and a recreational festival  with games for all participants of the event. Children will learn the rules of safe behavior on the road. It is commonly known that sports rivalry intergrates youth and teaches them the principles of fair play, what is more it strenghtens friendship.

9.On the other side of the Tatra Mountains” - a trip to Poprad (Slovakia) in the Slovak mountains. Designed for 20 Polish students and 20 Slovak ones aged 10-13. The three-day trip will be an opportunity to familiarize children with the region on the Slovak side of the Tatras. Culture, history, way of life of the people of the mountains will arouse interest in students. During the tour the children will be able to learn the basics of the language and collect photographic material for the album. It is obvious that the Polish – Slovak friendship that will be make during this trip will be continued even after the project is finished.

10. Meeting in L”ubotin – a visit the partner school - one day visit to the partner school in L”ubotin combined with visiting the museum in the Old Ľubovňa. 20 Polish students will visit the school and, together with 20 students will participate in the Slovak Art classes entitled: "My eyes," prepared by the Slovak teachers and then they will visit the museum of an ancient settlement and the town of Knights in the Old Ľubovňa.

11. The album – an album in A4 format based on materials collected during the project, such as newspaper articles, photographs and interviews, will be published. Additionally, the album will contain useful information on how to take care of the cultural values and the  Polish-Slovak phrasebook created during the project. Last but not least, the album will also promote hiking and it will be released in 500 copies in the three languages (Polish, Slovak and  English).

12. Summarising conference – a one day conference in Muszyna in which all the people participating in the project will take part. Additionally, the representatives of the local authorities of the partner countries, the principles of the schools and the representatives of the local press and television will be invited to the conference. During the conference there is going to be a presentation of the album and the participants of the project. The results of the project as well as the views of further cooperation will be thoroughly discussed. The participants of the conference will also be given albums and leaflets promoting the project. There will be used  the touch screen for the presentation of the project  .What is more all participants will receive gifts.
