BIESIADA MUSZYŃSKA

On Tuesday, September 24th 2013, the event called “Biesiada Muszyńska” took place  at School no 1 in Muszyna  as a part of the project "Education without borders - in Lubotin and Muszyna". The meeting was honored by the presence of the city mayor Mr Jan Golba. The guests were also our friends from Slovak school as well as the representatives of parents and students. During the ceremony, we had a chance to see the dances of the border region and listen to the songs performed by the vocal – dance band under the direction of Mrs Izabela Bajorek. The students were dressed in regional costumes that were purchased from the EU funds for the project. School regional team guest-starred with its program in the Amphitheater “Zapopradzie” on Saturday, during the celebration of 10th anniversary of cooperation between  Prešov and Małopolska region.
During our school event Slovak bands also presented  their regional dances and songs. Everything was accompanied by a lots of delicious Muszyna and Slovak dishes. We could taste the Poprad stew, kwaśnica and tasty dumplings cooked by our grandmothers. Along with the students of the Lubotin school we were singing  regional songs. Through such meetings we are able to get to know the culture of our small homelands.
